NEW BOARD OF TRUSTEES UP TO THE CHALLENGE
Elections were held in November for the Board of Trustees. Joining the
Municipal League for terms beginning in the year 2000 include
- David Bangs, a technology consultant formerly with Microsoft Corporation
(and editor of this web site)
- Charles Bofferding, Executive Director of the Society of Professional
Engineering Employees in Aerospace/SPEEA
- Patricia Bowman, Citizen Activist
- Brewster Denny, Citizen Activist
- George Fleming, Government Relations Liaison for the King County
Department of Transportation
- Kay Gabriel, Manager of Government Affairs for Weyerhauser Company
- Jim Greenfield, Attorney for Davis Wright Tremaine law firm
- Gary McLean, City Attorney for the City of Des Moines
- Randy Revelle, Vice President, Triad Special Projects of the Washington
State Hospital Association
- Dave Russell, Professor for the University of Washington
- Dick Sandaas, Vice President of CH2MHILL
- Ruth Schroeder, Citizen Activist
- Anne Watanabe, Deputy Hearing Examiner for the City of Seattle.
This new class of Trustees includes individuals who served the League at some
time in the past. They are joining the new Chair of the League, Tom Albro; Vice
Chair, Lucy Steers; Treasurer, A.J. Culver; Secretary, Mark Troxel and Trustees
Bruce Boram, Norward Brooks, Deryl Brown-Archie, Theodore J. Collins, Virginia Gunby, Paul Kostek,
Bruce Laing, Jocelyn Marchisio, Lois North, George Scott, and David Thompson.
The League also wishes to acknowledge new members of the Advisory Council.
Members of the Advisory Council will be highlighted in the next issue of the Muni
News.
The Board of Trustees meets monthly in the conference room made available to
the League through the generosity of Preston Gates & Ellis.
Farewell to Executive Director, Linda Robinson. Thank you and good luck
on your new endeavors. Welcome to new staff member, Tom Page.
