I have been a physician for 30 years and have seen tremendous change in the medical field. Unfortunately, much of that change has been to the detriment of patients with increasing costs, decreasing access and an increase in everyones' frustration level. After retiring several years ago, it became clear to me that the most effective way to improve the situation was to hold public office. |

I was one of the founders of the Open Heart Surgery Program at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue and past Chief of the Department of Surgery. My responsibility was to get a group of professionals to all work together for the common good of the patients with an outcome that had to be perfect. Also, I have served as President of the East King County American Heart Association and Chairman of the Puget Sound Heart Institute. I clearly believe I have the leadership skills to be an effective Representative |
