§ Involvement: What has the candidate done previously in family, neighborhood, community, volunteer work, employment or public life to suggest readiness to accomplish challenging objectives? How do these activities demonstrate readiness for the challenges unique to the office sought?
§ Effectiveness: Has the candidate demonstrated promise of being productive in the office sought? Has the candidate shown the ability to work with other people?
§ Character: Do the candidate's personal traits show the ability to take on the responsibilities of campaigning for and holding the public office she or he is seeking? Is the candidate a leader, participant or observer? Is the candidate trustworthy, reliable and candid?
§ Knowledge: Has the candidate demonstrated the willingness and ability to learn and adapt? Does the candidate understand the duties and challenges of the office sought? Does the candidate have a firm grasp of the issues important to his or her constituency and their potential effects?

I am not happy with the way our country is heading. We are losing more and more everyday of the very core of what makes us America. The over regulation of private individuals lives. We are losing the very rights our forefathers fought and died for.
I guess what really made me think seriously was the state’s B&O tax break to aviation related businesses. It was hailed by the legislature as a milestone of negotiation that didn’t raise anybody’s taxes. The very same day, I got my Washington State Tax Outlook newsletter. In it was the $6.50 per day per bed Nursing Home administration fee. It was not a tax but a fee. Who pays it? The nursing home operator? No, the poor guy in the bed. To me, this just hurt. I guess they really didn’t raise taxes.

I connect with people and listen to what they are concerned about, offering sound advice. I enjoy life. I can take a program or work routine and streamline it down to the most efficient position possible. |

I have spent most of my life trying to scratch out a living. The most important activities and involvement centered around paying the rent and finding medical care. Try being working poor and needing health care. Worry about finding money for your families prescriptions. When you’re disabled, life doesn’t leave much time for extras, like community involvement and public activities…

5. Please describe the duties of the office you seek. Which are the most important duties and why?

The position requires understanding, upholding and amending the Washington and US Constitution. The most important duty requires careful investigation of new laws. From reading reports and watching the House on cable, it seems that not every rep cares to show up and fight for the rights of people. |
