Rosemary Quesenberry’s Answers

 

1.      I am running for this office because I am a community voice.  The community deserves an active leader that understands their needs of economic vitality, transportation challenges and health care affordability.

 

2.      My most important personal characteristics or traits as they relate to the office I am seeking are: involved, committed, energetic, compassionate and an inclusive person.

     

      I am a grassroots involved leader and I enjoy including all people.  I am an      active participant in a variety of levels within the community.

 

3.      Three accomplishments that I am most proud of are:

a)     The passage of SB6153, sex offender disclosure notification.  I understand the legislative process.  I was successful in drafting this legislation and attended committee meetings.  This is an example hard work, dedication and perseverance.

b)     I have been married for over 20 years and I have one teenage daughter.  This demonstrates my ability to compromise and work well with others.

c)      I was the main caretaker of my 80 year old mother when she became seriously ill.  I now recognize the challenges of long term elderly care.  I was enlightened to understand the health care challenges faced by members of our community.

5.      The description of the office I seek is, to represent all members of the community.  It is necessary to work with others to comprehend and address the issues and to have an open dialog for compromise in the legislative process.  I will be responsive to constituents needs by returning telephone calls, emails, faxes and those who visit my office.  I will hold a district town hall meeting and attend community meetings to receive feedback on issues and produce a newsletter to let the constituents know of my progress during session.
