I am running for this office because the Mono Rail project is very important for our city. I am also running because present board members seem to have tunnel vision and they are not fully involving the public in the process. They think that they know the best: what is good for public. Furthermore, none of them have been elected to do what they are doing. Finally, I am also running to represent those hard woring successful: NEW AMERICAN who have no political voice. I am a successful hard working new American and I can get this project completed on time with in budget with full public involvement. Lastly, I feel, as citizen of this country, it is my outmost responsibility to do civic duty.

2.      Describe your most important personal characteristics or traits as they relate to the office you seek.

I fight against odds and never give up even there may be very little chance to succeed. I am honest, focused, determined and caring person. When I start a project, I do not stop until the project is complete. I am very open and outspoken person. Every leader in Unions  and Democratic party know that I do not play games. I always say as I see.

3.      Please describe in sufficient detail, one to three accomplishments or contributions of which you are most proud.  These examples should illustrate effective skills and capabilities you think apply to the office you are seeking.  These accomplishments may have occurred at any time in your personal, professional, or public life.

I got involved in Washington State poltics and labor movement in 1989. By 1990 most labor leaders and elecated Democratic leaders knew me by my first name. When in 1992, President Clinton got ellected, I was invited to inaugarl ball. Furthermore, I was recommended by many Cogressmen and woman for Preidetial appointment. This all  because these leaders saw that I have some thing to contribute to this country. Finally, I also attende Presidents' second inaugra ball and 1n 1999, I was invited to a State dinner at the White House. How many American accomplish in their life time what I have accomplish in asuch a short times. Finally, my ability  to keep my eyes on target, accept challenges and ability to work with others will most certainly help me to do this job.

I am V.P. President of Indian American Friendship Council for Western U.S. I  belong to this organization for the last 7 years. The goal of our organization is to strengthen cultural and commrcial ties between India and U.S. And, also form bi-partisan India Cacus in the U.S. Congress. Every year in July we have a gala dinner in Wahington DC where we invite Congressmen and women to exchange our views. This year, we had 125 congressmen and women at our dinner. Have you ever seen that many Congressmen and women under one roof at the same time ecxcept the House Chamber. Furthermore, now we have second biggest cacus in the nation in just a short time - 7 years.

I have actively participated in union and political activities  for the last 30 years. I have run for the office of State Senate and House from 26th district. I have faught for Human Rights for a long time.
