Community vitality and public service are important to me. Strong leadership is required to guide us through these challenging times and I have the qualities needed. I have a proven record of accomplishment in this community including co-chairing the successful Kent School District's Bond and Levy Campaign and forming the committee that helped to re-open the Kent Meridian Pool. I have a well-educated and rational mind, good at looking for creative ways to solve difficult challenges. I am persuasive and can help motivate people to action. Ultimately, I belive I can make a positive difference and want to be on the council to make that contribution as well as ensure that important services and faciilities are not lost during difficult economic times.

I have strong leadership abilities as evidenced in my co-chairing the recently successful Kent School Districts Bond and Levy campaign and organizing the committee that helped re-open the Kent Meridian pool. I am excellent at educating and helping motivate people to action. I am an excellent listener and carefully consider opinions before making an informed decision. I have strong public speaking skills and am highly involved in the community. I received the Kent Area PTA Council’s Spirit of the Community award and was awarded the Kent Chamber of Commerce’s in pursuit of Excellence Diversity in the Work Place award. I have been a public employee serving for the City of Kent, King County, Cities of Redmond and Bellevue and have a strong commitment to public service. I have an open and rational mind to help steer us through this challenging time and into the future creatively. I am resourceful in seeking win-win solutions and creative compromises that will be needed for the challenges ahead. |
