King County Government has a major influence on the liveability of the region through the delivery of regional services and the implementation of the Growth Management Act to protect rural and resource areas. Unincorporated areas also receive local services from the County. I am running for King County Council to make sure that regional services are delivered efficiently and critical services are protected while protecting the quality of life in the region.
I also believe that the council needs moderate, knowledgeable members who can work together without partisan rancor. I am such a person. |
2. Describe your most important personal characteristics or traits as they relate to the office you seek.
|
- I am intelligent, well read and knowledgeable about the issues facing the County and the region. - I listen to all sides of an issue before making a decision. - I work well with others and seek collaborative solutions to problems. - I have a sense of humor. |
3. Please describe in sufficient detail, one to three accomplishments or contributions of which you are most proud. These examples should illustrate effective skills and capabilities you think apply to the office you are seeking. These accomplishments may have occurred at any time in your personal, professional, or public life.
4. Please list or describe your current and past activities in the community in which you have acquired skills that relate to the office you seek. Include your role in the activity and the year(s) in which you were involved. Involvement consists of many areas such as family, neighborhood, community, employment, or public life.
